Been a while… a long while. A lot has happened since. I’m going to help plant Haven, a new church in San Jose.
To recap the past two months: I’ve lived alone a bit, been up North twice, served at camp (CRAZY as always), got a new car (2005 Element EX), chilled in Pasadena and Arcadia and Irvine, visited drunken parties, worshipped at Haven, worshipped at the Garden, found God in Vegas, hung out with high school Allen and his girlfriend, met amazing people, heard some great music, ate some dang good food (went to this one Indian place four times in a week), lost money, won money, embraced the world, abandoned all to God, felt that I had lost my soul, felt that I had gained Jesus, drove in bitter loneliness thinking about San Jose, cried about leaving for San Jose, received confirmation to go to San Jose…
I felt like I’ve seen the light shining through the darkness. The light is inside of this clay jar.
All in all, God seems to be everywhere and alive, and I’ve been trying to keep my eyes open. It hurts, but it’s beautiful. Let it soak in.
